04 · Project Development: Land Access & Stakeholder Facilitation
A mining project rarely fails on geology alone. It fails on land access nobody secured properly, or stakeholders who were never brought into the same conversation. We build the project proposal that accounts for both from the start.
What this covers
Land access work: identifying who actually holds rights or claims to a piece of land, whether formal titleholders, customary authorities, or artisanal miners already working it, and building an access agreement that holds up because everyone with a real stake in it was consulted.
Full project proposals that bring together the pieces an investor, government partner or community expects to see in one place: land status, community and traditional authority engagement, environmental and social baseline, and a realistic development sequence.
How we work
Stakeholder facilitation sits at the centre of this work: bringing local communities, traditional authorities, government bodies and international investors or partners into a single shared process, where agreements are tested against every party's expectations at the same table.
Because we operate our own ASM site and work across the sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, we bring a working knowledge of how local land and authority structures actually function on the ground, alongside how a land registry describes them on paper.
